MFA change or delete authentication  

 

1.      
Access the Microsoft 365 Admin Portal.

 

2.      
Open Microsoft Entra Admin Center. (Show all, Go to Identity from Admin Center)

 

 

 

 

 

 

3.      
Select All Users from Users option

 

 

4.      
Search for the user whose MFA needs to change or need to add new.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5.      
Click on the Authentication methods tab.

6.      
Within the Authentication methods window click on Add Authentication Method.

 

 

 

 

 

 

7.      
Now select the method. (if Phone is selected then number must be entered with extension eg. +91 5643298030) 

 

 

8.      
If you want to change or delete already existing authentication method, select 3 dots from the authentication method and delete it. Also, if you want to remove all authentication methods click on Require re-register multifactor authentication.
