UserGuide For License Assignment & Change
If you are assigning license while creating the new user,
please follow the mentioned documentation:
And if you are changing the assigned license of user then
follow the steps mentioned below:
Go to Users → Active Users
Select the required user
Click on
Licenses and Apps
Uncheck the currently assigned license
Click Save changes
Select the new required license
Ensure Usage Location is set (if not already)
Click Save changes
Verification
Confirm
the new license is reflected under the user profile
Verify
services (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive) are working as expected
Allow 15–30
minutes for changes to take effect
Important Notes
Changing
a license may impact existing services and data
Ensure
required data is backed up before removing the old license
Some
services may be disabled or removed based on the new license
Always
validate compatibility before switching licenses
